The IMT Computer Store Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the IMT Computer Store, which is an Authorized Apple Campus Store reseller. You are responsible for day-to-day operations, managing both a brick-n-mortar and ecommerce site. In this role, you will lead a team of staff and student staff, helping customers achieve ownership, learn new skills that will yield in strong business / financial results. You will support, influence and achieve the department WIN Strategy, which is to create “Enthusiastic Returning Customers”, where customers are excited and want to use our services.
Required Education * Bachelor degree in Business Administration (management, finance, accounting) preferred or relevant degree per job description below.
Required Experience and Skills * Three to five years of retail management and purchasing experience in a high level, high profile environment, preferably selling technology. This is a fast pace environment similar to the Apple Store or another technology-services company. Hours feel like minutes, minutes feel like seconds. * Proven ability to build customer loyalty and deliver measurable results. * Ability to manage multiple units within a complex retail and higher education environment. * Positive attitude with excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal and organizational skills. * Experience with collaboration tools that promote teamwork with a strong personal use of team-publishing and communication vehicles, e.g. wiki, social networks, team chat, JIRA, etc. * Team oriented with the ability to build strong relationships with internal customers, external customers and vendors. * Ability to wear multiple hats and shift from an administrative role to a leadership role. * Ability to work with all levels of staff from Student Workers to IT Support to University Vice Presidents.
