The Department of Nursing invites qualified applicants for a full-time faculty appointment in Nursing (tenure track).
Teach the equivalent of a full seven-course load per year. Teaching assignments could include theory, clinical, skills or simulation in the pre-licensure baccalaureate program. General faculty responsibilities will include student advising, and department and committee assignments.
An academic clinical specialty with relevant clinical experience is necessary; clinical experiences in either obstetrics, psychiatric, or medical-surgical nursing preferred. Other specialty areas will be considered. Dual specialties would be considered an asset. Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility required.
Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset. Maintaining clinical expertise would be important for fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.
A master's degree in nursing is required, and significant progress toward completion of a doctoral degree is preferred.
