King University seeks a Director of Student Life. Founded in 1867, King is a Presbyterian-affiliated university with a mission of preparing students in a Christian academic community to excel as thoughtful, resourceful, and responsible citizens with a passion for serving God, the Church, and the world. Reporting to the Associate VP for Student Affairs/Dean of Students, the Director of Student Life participates in the accomplishment of King’s mission by providing strong educational, social, recreational and leadership development oriented co-curricular programs and activities to enhance learning, health and wellness, and social development for all students. The Director will design and implement co-curricular, non-credit programs and activities and will provide direct oversight to the student programming board and the intramural and recreational athletic program. The Director will also assist in the planning and execution of other large-scale, institution-wide events. The candidate should have experience in event planning and management, program assessment, budget management, and knowledge of student development theory. The Director of Student Life is a full-time, 12-month employee.
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in higher education administration, student personnel services, or a related discipline strongly preferred. The candidate must have and be able to articulate a personal faith in the Lordship of Jesus
