REDEEMER UNIVERSITY COLLEGE invites applications for a tenure-track position in Media and Communication Studies beginning July 1, 2019. Applicants must possess, or be near completion of, a PhD (or equivalent terminal degree). The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of, or potential for, excellence in undergraduate teaching; be able to teach courses in communication, video production, post-production, documentary filmmaking, screenwriting, and content for the digital age; and be able to supervise internships and senior theses. The ideal candidate will also have significant professional experience; have a vision and a capacity to build and maintain a production unit that gives students hands-on experience and serves the wider Hamilton ON community; and have a passion for the critical study of media and communication.
As a liberal arts and sciences undergraduate university rooted in the Reformed tradition of Christianity, we seek candidates who are committed to teaching and pursuing scholarship from this perspective.
