The Instructional Design and Technology Specialist is a full-time, exempt position in the College of Adult and Graduate Studies (CAGS) reporting to the Director of Curriculum. This position works closely with the Director of Curriculum Development and the Curriculum Development team to lead and collaborate on the integration of learning technologies in online and hybrid classes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Master’s degree in educational technology or training preferred; candidates with related professional experience will be considered.
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
Experience with multimedia development using tools such as Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Premiere, Camtasia, Articulate, and Captivate strongly preferred.
3-5 years’ experience with online learning required.
Experience with online learning platforms such as Blackboard or similar system required. Understanding of the structure and hierarchy of an Learning Management System (LMS) preferred.
Experience with web programming languages preferred.
Strong organizational, project management, problem-solving, decision making, and time management skills.
High attention to detail, but able to maintain a strategic perspective.
