SUMMARY: Full-time, tenure-track faculty member within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences to teach graduate courses in the International Community Development MA program. Additional responsibilities include guiding student research and conducting scholarly research. The faculty member is also expected to fully participate in University life including committee work and other institution activities. NOTE: This is a provisional offering, dependent on approval of funding in early spring of 2018. The position is scheduled to be filled for fall semester 2018.
PhD or other relevant doctoral degree in any field germane to ICD program themes, including (but not limited to), qualitative research, community development, social and environmental justice, racial reconciliation, globalization and development, sustainable development, international studies, culture studies, and intercultural communication.
Training and experience in qualitative research methods.
Significant practical experience with nonprofit work, relief and development, diversity and inclusion issues, or cross-cultural engagement.
Successful college or university teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
