Summary: Montreat College seeks a qualified candidate to serve as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Cybersecurity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for teaching in the traditional and online Cybersecurity programs, according to the load specified in the Faculty Handbook. The successful candidate will assist with department and academic projects, student advising, Cybersecurity internships and competitions, and engage in curriculum development. Additionally, the chosen candidate must demonstrate teaching excellence in the classroom supported by relevant IT/Cybersecurity industry experience, and possess expertise in using discipline-related computer/IT/Cybersecurity programs.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate support for Christian liberal arts education and the specific ability to integrate faith and the discipline of Cybersecurity in a compelling, thoughtful manner.
Teaching excellence and a willingness to serve the broader college community through service and committee work are also expected.
Minimum of a master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, and Cybersecurity or a closely-related field. Terminal degree preferred but not required. Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and SANs will be a plus.
