Houghton College seeks an exceptional Music Education teacher for a full-time, tenure-track position
Responsibilities: Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching Music Education courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels that may include Elementary Music Education Methods, Secondary Methods and Instrumental Methods, among others.
Other responsibilities include coordination and supervision of student teachers as well as maintaining a strong relationship with NAfME/NYSSMA and developing strategic partnerships by networking with Music Educators in the Northeast region and beyond.
All music faculty members are expected to participate in music admissions activities (i.e. recruiting and auditioning students); recruit for all programs; participate in events such as the Christmas PRISM and contribute to the life of the college.
