Taylor University is seeking applications from and nominations of distinguished candidates to teach American Politics in the Department of History, Global & Political Studies during the 2017-18 academic year. A PhD in Political Science with a focus on American politics is required. Candidates with a record of successful teaching and experience in public service at the state or national levels are preferred.
The Department of History, Global & Political Studies currently has four full time faculty members. The department offers the following degrees/majors: the BA in History, the BA in International Studies, the B.A. in Politics, Philosophy & Economics and the BS in Social Studies Education. History and International Studies majors may elect to pursue a BS degree by adding a systems concentration to the major. Alumni pursue graduate degrees in history, political science, public history, law, divinity, library science and international studies as well as public service at the state and national levels and teaching careers in public or private secondary school
