GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The University of Sioux Falls, a Christian Liberal Arts University, is seeking an individual with strong teaching and research experience. The primary responsibility of this faculty member will be to teach undergraduate Social Science research courses including Statistics, Research Methods, and Experimental Psychology. The ideal candidate will be required to teach multiple sections of research courses and include teaching both upper and lower-division psychology courses, while expertise in developmental psychology or learning and cognition is a preferred qualification.
Qualified candidates will have an earned a Ph.D. in Psychology by the time of their effective start date. Experience in and evidence of successful teaching in a university setting preferred. Most importantly, candidates should have a passion for teaching, advising, and mentoring students. Ability and willingness to team-teach and work cross-disciplinarily a plus. Proficient utilizing a variety of course delivery structures including on-site, online and hybrid.
The successful candidate will be committed to active engagement with students, the University's mission, and teaching and scholarship at a Christian Liberal Arts University. Responsibilities also include professional scholarship, academic advising of students, promoting student research, and participating in the life of the university and community.
