The Department of Digital Media Arts at Huntington University is seeking candidates for a full-time, tenure-track position in Animation beginning in August 2017. The ideal candidate should have a primary strength in at least one of the following areas: 3D Character Animation, Motion Graphics (2D and 3D), or Storyboarding. Secondary strengths in complimentary areas like 3D Rigging, Special Effects Animation, Stop Motion, Gaming Engines, 2D Character Animation, 3D Sculpting, and Game Design are also welcome.
Responsibilities include teaching classes in several of the above areas as well as helping shape curriculum, managing animation labs, and serving on faculty committees. The Digital Media Arts department includes five faculty members offering majors in Animation, Broadcasting, Film Production and Film Studies. - MFA (or near completion) expected
- Animation studio or gaming studio production experience
- Energetic, student-centered, effective teacher-mentor
- Commitment to Christian faith and to faith-learning integration
- Commitment to Christian liberal arts education
- Experience with Maya or Cinema 4D, After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite (Z-brush and Toon Boom also a plus)
