John Brown University, private, evangelical and Christian, and the Soderquist College of Business seek a full-time faculty member in analytics and consumer insights beginning July 1, 2017. Responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching (research, analytics, decision modeling, business intelligence), providing program support in graduate programs, advising, and committee service. Teaching and advising will be in graduate programs. Preference will be given to applicants with potential to teach in multiple business disciplines and multiple delivery methods. Limited travel is required as many graduate courses are taught at University locations within the region. The position reports to the Dean of the Soderquist College of Business.
The Soderquist College of Business includes the traditional undergraduate, degree completion, and graduate programs. Traditional undergraduate programs include majors in Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance, International Business, Management, and Marketing, all delivered in a residential setting. Graduate Business Programs include the Master of Business Administration with emphases in International Business, Organizational Behavior, and Market Research & Consumer Insights; and the Master of Science in Leadership and Ethics. Program delivery is on-site at locations in Arkansas and online. Adult degree completion programs include Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, and Management Accounting. Collectively, the College of Business is the largest portfolio of programs at JBU with a history of growth in enrollment and diversity. Training leaders with integrity, character, and trustworthiness based on a Christ-centered model is a priority. JBU business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
