Applicants must have a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate engineering education including laboratory instruction. This position will include instruction of undergraduate and graduate students in classroom and laboratory settings. Desired areas of expertise include solid mechanics, machine design, energy conversions, control systems, robotics, and thermal and fluid sciences. Of special interest are candidates with the ability to teach instrumentation, experiment design, and data collection in a laboratory setting.
Candidates must hold a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution and a Ph.D. in a closely related field. Industrial experience and foreign missions service are highly desirable. Successful candidates will demonstrate evidence of outstanding potential in undergraduate teaching.
