The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities invites qualified graduates who are interested in Christian higher education to spend a summer in Washington, DC in order to gain professional experience and to contribute to the global mission of the CCCU.
The Council for Christian Colleges & Universities is a higher education association of more than 180 Christian institutions around the world. With campuses across the globe, including more than 150 in the U.S. and Canada and nearly 30 more from an additional 18 countries, CCCU institutions are accredited, comprehensive colleges and universities whose missions are Christ-centered and rooted in the historic Christian faith. Most also have curricula rooted in the arts and sciences. The CCCU’s mission is to advance the cause of Christ-centered higher education and to help our institutions transform lives by faithfully relating scholarship and service to biblical truth.
The internship will provide opportunities to support different departments of the CCCU (academic affairs & professional programs, government & external relations, finance & administration) based on the interests and skills of the intern, and the needs of the organization. The intern will be exposed to both a broad overview of the functions of the association, as well as have the opportunity to work on a specific project that could overlap with research interests if the intern is enrolled in a graduate program.
$1500/stipend per summer (10 weeks total)

Persons applying for the position should:
Have a strong appreciation for the Christian mission and purpose of the CCCU and its BestSemester programs
Have exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Be flexible and willing to work on a variety of different types of projects
Have an interest in Christian higher education and the work of CCCU member institutions
Be enrolled in a higher education-related graduate program (preferred)
Please submit a letter of intent, a current resume, list of four references, and a statement of faith through the posting on careers.cccu.org by March 12th, 2017 with interviews following, and decisions notified by April 13th, 2017.
