The College of Science and Mathematics is seeking an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Mathematics. This position is a full-time position starting in Fall 2018. Ph.D in mathematics required for appointment at Assistant Professor. An appointment at the Assistant Professor rank is tenure track. An appointment at the Instructor rank is non-tenure track.

Essential Job Duties:
Teaching 24 undergraduate hours per year in mathematics, with courses such as Calculus, Business Calculus, College Algebra, developmental mathematics, and upper-division courses based on interest
Mentoring and advising students
Participating in department and university committees and other university functions
Southwest Baptist University, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, offers courses leading both to undergraduate and graduate degrees. Approximately 1,745 on-campus students may choose from 58 programs of study as they pursue a liberal arts-based, career-oriented education. The campus is located in the city of Bolivar, a community of 10,000 located 23 miles north of Springfield, Missouri. The Department of Mathematics consists of four faculty members and is housed in the Wheeler Science building as part of the College of Science and Mathematics.
