Indiana Wesleyan University’s John Wesley Honors College (JWHC) invites applications for a postdoctoral teaching fellowship in the humanities and social sciences. Scholars wishing to explore their academic vocation within the context of an intensive Christian liberal learning community are encouraged to apply. Fellows receive two-year appointments in the JWHC with the possibility of re-appointment for a third year.

Candidates for the 2018-2020 Fellowship must have received, or will receive, their PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) between January 1, 2015 and August 20, 2018.
JWHC Postdoc Fellows are expected to be in residence for the duration of their appointments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Applicants must have an active Christian faith, a commitment to serving in an intensive Christian community of liberal learning, and a self-reflective spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration. The successful candidate will devote his or her attention to the teaching and mentoring of honors students within the JWHC, but he or she may also have opportunities to teach courses in the CAS School of Theology and Ministry. JWHC Postdoctoral Fellows also receive research loading and funding to help them cultivate the habits and practices of scholarly inquiry and the development of a promising trajectory of research/publication.

In light of curricular needs, special consideration will be given in the search to candidates specializing in theology or a related field.
