Seeking a full-time faculty member to join a growing, enthusiastic communication department and give leadership to a flourishing undergraduate Public Relations program designed for PRSSA accreditation.
Teach PR courses as well as occasional sections of Public Speaking and possibly other journalism and/or courses appropriate to one’s experience and education. Give leadership to our successful student-run Inspired Strategies Agency (our student-run PR agency serving community clients) as well as our local chapter of PRSSA.
Seeking professional PR experience, with strong preference for appropriate graduate degrees. All ONU faculty have 24 hour/yr teaching loads, do advising, and participate in department & faculty committees. We seek only applicants who have a personal commitment to Christ in belief and lifestyle, as well as a commitment to the mission of a Christian University within the Wesleyan tradition. Must be student-oriented as well as passionate about Public Relations and preparing Christian young people for PR / Corporate Communication careers. Must also be a cooperative team-player within the Communication Department. With 2,900 undergraduates, Olivet is primarily an undergraduate institution; its emphasis is excellence in the classroom.
