Full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Mechanical Engineering available September 2018. Appointment is in the Department of Engineering and Computer Science.
Regular nine-month teaching load of about 33 quarter credits, typically including a variety of courses throughout the undergraduate curriculum of Mechanical Engineering.
Serve as a resource for student design projects.
Establish and maintain an active program of research/scholarship.
Participate actively in the life of the department, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the University.
About the Department of Engineering and Computer Science: The Department of Engineering and Computer Science offers undergraduate majors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, General Engineering (with concentrations in Mechanical Engineering and Appropriate and Sustainable Engineering) and Information Systems, providing students with excellent preparation for professional careers through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on learning. These engineering majors are ABET accredited. The Department is part of the College of Arts and Sciences (Division of STEM and Social Sciences) and is committed to building an excellent and diverse faculty who desire to be part of a supportive Christian community in which students are prepared to become responsible and effective servant-leaders.

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Specialty in mechatronics, robotics, programming related applications, or other demonstrated broad interdisciplinary experience will be given high priority.
