The Department of Biology in Trinity Western University’s Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences invites applications for a tenure track position starting in August 2018. Duties include teaching Microbiology, and Cellular and Molecular Biology courses for the Department of Biology. The candidate should be capable of teaching Introductory Biology courses (100 level), Microbiology (200 and 300 levels), Cell Biology (200 level), Molecular Biology (300 level), senior courses in a personal specialty, and supervise thesis students. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or a related field.
The ability to be flexible is critical, but the applicant should have a background in Microbiology or Molecular Biology. Other middle and upper level courses possibly needing coverage include Developmental Neuroscience and Cancer Biology, though internal shifts are possible to tailor the position to the applicant. In addition, the applicant should have or be capable of establishing an active research program in his/her area of expertise.
