The Department of Psychology, in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, is accepting applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Developmental Psychology beginning August 16, 2018. The psychology department is one of the largest departments at Trinity Western University serving over 200 students who major or minor in Psychology. Current faculty research interests include Human Sexuality, Social and Biological Psychology, to name a few. The position is at the Assistant Professor rank, although applicants at the Associate rank may be considered.
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or ABD status, completing his or her defense by the start date. Responsibilities include a combination of teaching/research and service consistent with department needs and candidate’s giftedness. Typically, a tenure track faculty member with a research agenda would be expected to teach 6 courses over two semesters. The ideal candidate will have flexibility to teach in the areas of Abnormal, Tests and Measurement, or Cognitive Psychology.
