Project implementation and continuing support of cloud-based and on premise administrative solutions that will create a unified Human Resources, Payroll, Financial Management, and Student system for Point Loma Nazarene University.
Time: Full time
Integrate various software applications using JAVA, SOA (WSDL, XML, XSLT), SOAP/JSON, REST
Utilize tools for integration such as SQL Server, Glassfish, AJAX, and Linux
Support of deployed Web application components (IIS .Net Portal, C# portlets, CSS, CGI/Perl web pages, Java, JQuery)
Some support of UNIX based system of JAVA/JBOSS applications and Perl code
Provide application software support focusing primarily on administrative software solutions: Workday, Canvas LMS, Jenzabar's CX, Portal, Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge, CollegeNet's PowerFaids, reporting tools, and others.
Provide implementation and integration of third party software and end-user tools (e.g. Advising, Housing, Financial Aid, Library, etc.).
Familiar with Project Management concepts
Lead and assist in the review, creation, and implementation of new business processes to empower users and streamline processes.
Other tasks, as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field with three years of directly applicable experience.
Alternatively, five or more years of direct experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Student Information Systems (SIS) such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Jenzabar, Ellucian, Salesforce, or other SaaS and On-Premise ERP systems) and at least two years of formal education or training in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
Background and experience in higher education and/or expertise for a large enterprise or university is preferred.
Aptitude for learning new technologies and tools and applying logic to complex business cases.
5+ years Human Resource, Payroll, Financial, or Student software application experience
5+ Years integrating systems with third-party service vendors
Command of Service Oriented Architecture Concepts and RESTful services
EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net and other integration technologies
Background and experience in higher education and/or expertise for a large enterprise or university
Familiarity with Linux, Informix SQL, MSSQL experience
Experience with report writer tools, Perl or another shell scripting tool, Web-based development tools.
Sitting for periods greater than one hour. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, e-mail and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
