Position Title: Director of Human Resources
Department: Business Office
Position Summary: This position functions as part of the Business Office and manages the provision of human resources services including recruitment, benefits, employee relationships, compliance, policies, and programs for the University.
Provide dynamic leadership by directing the promotion and implementation of professional human resources practices and principles.
Serve as the principal liaison in carrying out human resources functions.
Provide benefits administration working with multiple vendors to provide claims resolution, benefit reporting and analysis, and benefits invoice reconciliation.
Coordinate interview process and perform phone screening of candidates.
Track candidate and employee information through all stages of employment to ensure efficient employee transitions.
Recommend and participate in the evaluation of university policies and procedures.
Administer unemployment and workers’ compensation claims on behalf of the University.
Other duties as needed.

Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
Meticulous attention to detail, organized, with the ability to multi-task.
Significant experience in human resources.
Master’s degree preferred.
Working Relationships: The Director of Human Resources is a member of the Business Office and reports to the Vice President for Business and Finance.
Work Schedule: Normal office hours expected Monday through Friday. Additional hours as needed for significant department or university events.
