Milligan College invites applications for a full-time position at the Instructor level in the area of computer science and computer information systems to begin August 2018. The dynamic and growing area currently offers baccalaureate degrees in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems and a Master of Science Information Systems. The position requires teaching in a wide range of undergraduate courses with an emphasis on various Programming Languages, Hardware, Software, Database Management, Computer Networking, Web Design and Development, and Software Engineering. Candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to collegiality and teamwork. Duties also include course development, online teaching, and service on college committees and/or student advising.
The ideal candidate should have an earned Master’s in Computer Information Systems or a closely related discipline with a confirmed completion date before August 2018. Candidates with a master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in computer information system courses with a willingness to complete a terminal degree will be given consideration. A commitment to integrating faith and learning in a liberal arts environment is essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, commitment to the College mission, and a lifestyle consistent with the College’s goals.
