This position manages multiple requirements in the day-to-day operations of UNWSP’s pre-licensure nursing program. These requirements include Minnesota Board of Nursing regulations, nursing accreditation standards, hospital and healthcare agency credentialing of faculty and students (background checks, finger printing, immunization records, and identification requirements), agency affiliation agreements, clinical site coordination, student clinical and course schedules, and licensure applications. The position also manages multiple activities associated with program administration such as aligning catalog and handbook policies, compiling annual reports, and coordinating site visits, nursing advisory board meetings, and prospective student visit days. This position works in collaboration with other UNWSPdepartments in processing information, overseeing systems operations, and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions in support of meeting nursing program requirements.
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Analyze MN Board of Nursing, Higher Learning Commission (HLC), and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) requirements
Oversee systems and establish projects necessary for daily operations of the nursing program
Research and interpret university policies, guidelines, and procedures and oversee incorporation of these into nursing program operations
Conduct project prioritization efforts based on timing of self-studies, annual reports, clinical scheduling, and university-based requirements for reporting, etc.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, academic policies, student credentialing requirements, student finance regulations and policies, catalog and website policies, and other policies and procedures such as student recruitment and admissions, student services, career services, etc.
Initiate, author, and provide thorough and timely communications as directed by the Chief Nurse Administrator
Analyze and research issues and problems, identify and recommend solutions, and implement action steps as directed by the Chief Nurse Administrator
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of all activities of the nursing program
Supervise the Admissions and Events Coordinator
Abide by all University policies

Minimum Education and Experience:
BSN degree highly desired; Master’s in Business or Project Management desirable
Minimum of 5 years experience in the management of multiple processes with multi-layered requirements
PMP certification desired
Understanding of regulatory requirements in nursing
