California Baptist University, an evangelical Christian university affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention, invites applications for tenure-track positions to begin August 13, 2018 in Mathematics. The Department of Natural and Mathematical Sciences at California Baptist University invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in mathematics.
The primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate mathematics courses to both majors and non-majors, as well as, graduate courses in the Masters in Applied Mathematics program. Other duties include recruiting and advising undergraduate mathematics and foundational mathematics majors, engaging with undergraduate math majors and graduate students in original research or senior capstone projects, participation in departmental program assessment, and participation in other service to the university and department.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a PhD in mathematics by August 2018 and have prior teaching experience. While all areas of mathematics will be considered, particular preference will be given to those with expertise in Complex Analysis or Applied Mathematics.
