College of the Ozarks’ Armstrong McDonald School of Nursing invites applications for full-time and part-time faculty positions in its pre-licensure BSN program. The mission of the Department of Nursing is to present a Christ-centered, Biblically-based, character-driven nursing education program while preparing qualified individuals for a spiritual role as a professional nurse providing service to Christ and humankind. The department seeks candidates with teaching/clinical experience in adult and gerontological nursing, health promotion, and/or medical-surgical nursing.
These positions require eligibility for RN licensure in Missouri, a minimum of a master’s degree in nursing, a minimum of two years teaching experience (BSN teaching preferred), a minimum of three years of RN experience, and demonstrated clinical expertise (national certification preferred). A doctoral degree in nursing (or a related field) is preferred. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Positions require a commitment to teaching excellence in classroom, clinical, and simulation settings while serving as a mentor and positive role model for students. Starting date for position(s) is August 2018, and the full-time position may lead to a multi-year letter of appointment.
