Position: Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting

The College of Business and Sport Professions is currently accepting applications for two faculty positions in the Accounting Dept. at the Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning with the Spring Term of 2017. The NGU Accounting Degree Program is accredited by S.A.C.S. (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools). This is a nine-month, full-time position. Starting salary is commensurate with education and experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated leadership, vision and collaborative skills are necessary to assist in the continued successful operation of NGU’s College of Business and Sport Professions in the academic area of Accounting.
An earned Master’s Degree in Accounting or a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Accounting will be considered. A Doctoral Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a minimum of eighteen graduate credits in Accounting courses is preferred.
Teaching: Teach undergraduate courses in Accounting, such as Accounting with Excel/Quick Books, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Federal Taxation, Municipal and Government Accounting, Fraud and Corporate Accountability and Federal Income Taxation.
Scholarship: Scholarly publications, professional presentations, and grant procurement are desired professional activities.
Service: Provide service to the Accounting Department, College of Business and Sport Professions, and NGU committees; professional organizations and the Greenville County community.
Leadership: Assist with Accounting program development; participate in student recruitment and retention; provide academic advising; provide co-leadership for the Student Accounting Club and assist with alumni development.
