The Division of Art and Design at Indiana Wesleyan University seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Graphic Design to teach in a Christ-centered, active, and vibrant undergraduate graphic design program and to join an intensely passionate cohort of design educators who believe in social impact design and fostering tomorrow’s design leaders.
The practice of graphic design at Indiana Wesleyan University equips students to become conscientious designers who have a robust skillset to impact the greater world. Known for its outstanding program, the IWU Art + Design Division is committed to actively influencing the discourse on the frontiers of new design thinking and design pedagogy. The graphic design program offers instruction in areas of social impact design, design process, graphic design research, visual communication, rhetorics, semiotics and identity, type and image, and web, interactive, ui/ux and digital and print based platforms.
Qualified applicants are expected to present detailed materials of accomplishments in design practice and teaching experience. Submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching statement, example syllabi (if applicable), portfolio including evidence of professional/scholarly research practice along with student work examples (if applicable).

Candidates must have a terminal degree, preferably an MFA or MDES in the field of graphic design or visual communication design.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The division seeks an outstanding and dynamic designer with a combination of studio skills focused on method and theory based approaches, along with a deep commitment to teaching and advising undergraduate students in design. Applicants must have the ability and experience to teach all levels of undergraduate graphic design courses
