The Department of Clinical Psychology at Seattle Pacific University invites applications for an 11-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor in the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology PhD program.
We seek an individual with a specialty in any area of clinical psychology to teach doctoral coursework, supervise doctoral student research, and provide clinical consultation and supervision. Major responsibilities include graduate-level teaching in the clinical psychology PhD curriculum, establishing and maintaining an active program of research, seeking intramural and/or extramural research funding, mentoring and supervising doctoral level students in research and clinical activities, and taking on administrative assignments and service within the department, school, and university.
The position is open until filled with a potential start date as early as January 2018. Only applications received through the online process will be considered. Prospective candidates must have earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship. Postdoctoral or other advanced training in research and clinical specialty, a record of published research and evidence of, or potential for grant support of research are preferred. Area of expertise is open but candidates with expertise in adult clinical health psychology and/or assessment are particularly encouraged to apply. A psychology license in the State of Washington or license eligibility is also required. People from historically underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
