The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at North Park University seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty member of athletic training at the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to begin Fall 2018. North Park’s CAATE-accredited professional athletic training program is presently transitioning from the undergraduate level to the graduate level. The successful candidate will teach 24 semester hours per year in athletic training, exercise science, or related fields, based on their qualifications and needs of the School. Additional responsibilities include the advisement and mentorship of students, implementation of a scholarly agenda, and participation in university wide service. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Doctoral degree in exercise science, health science, exercise physiology, or closely related field; ABD will be considered.
BOC certification as an athletic trainer.
Demonstration of successful teaching at the university level.
Evidence of a research agenda.
Ability or willingness to learn to use instructional technology efficiently.
Ability to incorporate the university’s urban, intercultural, and Christian distinctives into teaching and service.
ACSM or NSCA certification preferred.
