Administrative Careers - Information Systems/Technology
The Technical Communications Liaison is responsible for effectively managing and coordinating communications for the Academic and Institutional Technology department. This includes communications to internal teams. This person also formulates and coordinates communication with constituents across Wheaton College regarding AIT policies, strategies, plans, initiatives, and resources.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for communication to the college community about department projects and events.
Develop and promote departmental communication standards that conform to and supplement Marketing Communications brand guidelines.
Develop branding and marketing resources that facilitate positive perception of the department.
Work with project managers to generate project charters and execute project communication plans.
Coordinate the gathering and presentation of information about projects, new services, and service interruptions.
Work closely with the AIT Service Desk to ensure the technical support team is aware of and educated about projects, new services, and service interruptions.
Provide collaborative leadership in the development and execution of strategies for facilitating and enhancing intradepartmental communication.
Provide collaborative leadership for coordinating feedback collection from constituents on the quality and utility of AIT services.
Develop varied forms of information presentation, including website, email, social media, digital signage, and print media.
Develop metrics to evaluate the success of communication efforts.
Create and maintain the department website in conjunction with Marketing Communications.
