A growing Math Department is seeking a faculty member with expertise in Mathematics and 5-12 Math Education. Duties include teaching four undergraduate courses per semester, supervising field placements, advising and mentoring students, relevant departmental work, institutional committee work, relevant scholarly activity, and service. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
An earned Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education
An earned Master’s Degree in Math or closely related field
Interest in completing a doctoral program in education
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Committed to biblical integration in and out of the classroom
Deep commitment to team development
Effective pedagogical practices, with an ongoing willingness to grow and develop
All full-time faculty members are expected to be a member of or willing to become a member of an Assemblies of God church.
An earned Master’s Degree in Math Education
An earned Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education
At least one year of documented successful mathematics teaching experience in grades 5-8 and/or 9-12

In order to accomplish this task, NCU is committed to the requirement of a minimum of 21 credits of Bible/Theology for all majors. It also requires daily chapel attendance and other meaningful methods of spiritual formation. NCU is church-focused and there are practical ministry requirements which are fulfilled with service in the church and community. The University seeks to develop a robust Christianity based on a Christian worldview developed through a meaningful, integrated general education core program. It offers various majors which are designed to develop leaders who are functioning Pentecostals and who know how to interact evangelistically with their world.
Most majors are geared toward church-oriented vocations. All majors are designed to be ministry-focused, training students to serve God in a variety of ways according to their calling and gifts. Program focus at North Central is particularly centered upon urban and international settings, utilizing the urban context of the campus as a laboratory for effective ministry and providing a full array of creative international learning opportunities.
