REDEEMER UNIVERSITY COLLEGE invites applications for a tenure-track position (any rank) in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, beginning July 1, 2018, pending budgetary approval. We are seeking an applicant with an academic background and demonstrated achievement in teaching and research in Kinesiology or a closely related field such as Human Kinetics or Physical Education. Criteria for selection include demonstrated achievement in teaching and research with clear potential for securing external research funding and producing peer-reviewed publications. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses and labs in some of the following: biomechanics and ergonomics, care and prevention of injuries, exercise physiology, anatomy, clinical assessment and rehabilitation, motor learning, and a practical course in strength training and fitness.
As a liberal arts and sciences university college rooted in the Reformed tradition of Christianity, we seek candidates who are committed to teaching and pursuing scholarship from this perspective. The preferred candidate would possess or be near completion of a Ph.D. in Kinesiology or a closely-related field.
